What to wear on a summer holiday at Fantasy Island

If, like thousands of other people, you are looking forward to your summer holiday at Fantasy Island, you’ll be turning your attention to shopping. After all, it can be great fun buying what you need for your summer break. But instead of spending the first day of your holiday shopping for the right clothes and accessories, why not have a day out beforehand and get everything you need in advance?

1. For babies

It’s important to keep your baby cool when on holiday, so select some thin, light outfits made of natural fibres. T-shirts with popular cartoon characters on are cute additions too or you could choose a striped, nautical style with a matching hat.

2. For tots and young children

Summers are magical for little ones and are all about having fun. Remember those lazy days when every summer was hot, and the holiday seemed to last forever? Make sure to include shorts and sandals for those visits to Island Beach, and don’t forget the classic bucket and spade! You may also want to stock up on UV-safe swimsuits, high-factor sun lotion and a big hat. Add in delicious ice creams and you’ll have smiling faces all round!

3. For teenagers and older children

Youngsters will want pretty dresses, T-shirts and shorts – and lots of them. Bold colours, with stand-out patterns and logos, make a statement and are ideal for speeding around our Spinning Racer rollercoaster with friends. Add some of the latest sunglasses to complete that cool look. For cloudier days, some comfortable trousers are ideal for indoor activities like tenpin bowling.

4. For mum and dad

Mum will want soft, airy summer dresses and shorts to stay cool this summer. This season’s colours are vibrant and bold, such as mandarin orange, apple red and shocking pink. Dad should opt for tailored, flat-fronted shorts in beige and navy blue, which are easy to match with anything. Plain polo shirts and comfortable brogues, which can be worn without socks or with no-show socks, finish off the by-the-sea look. Light, waterproof jackets are also a must for those thrilling plunges into the water on our popular Log Flume ride.
