So in this post, we’ll take a look at our theme park in Skegness and our topsy-turvy rides for you to enjoy.
What Kind of Loops Are There at Fantasy Island?
Before we dive into our loopiest rides, let’s talk about what type of loops to be looking out for. There are lots of different types, but the ones you’ll find at Fantasy Island include:
- Vertical Loops: Vertical loops, also known as loop-the-loops, are the classic roller coaster loops that come to mind for many people. These loops are perfectly circular and take riders upside down in a full 360-degree rotation. As the train ascends the loop, riders experience a moment of weightlessness at the top before feeling the forces of gravity pulling them back down.
- Corkscrew Loops: Corkscrew loops are another popular type of loop found on rollercoasters. Unlike vertical loops, corkscrew loops twist and turn riders in a helix-like motion. The track spirals around itself, creating a thrilling and disorienting experience. Corkscrew loops often feature multiple inversions, with riders experiencing both upside-down and right-side-up moments during the loop.
- Helix Rolls: Helix rolls are a type of loop that combines the elements of twists and turns with a spiral-like motion. These loops often feature a gradual ascent or descent while the track wraps around itself in a corkscrew-like manner. Helix rolls can vary in size and tightness, creating different levels of intensity and centrifugal forces.
