Our Fantasy Island favourites
There are so many things we love about Fantasy Island that we’ve decided to break it down and list our absolute favourites. It’s one of the best things to do in Skegness for so many reasons, and here is a glimpse of what makes it so…
The Fantastical Escape
We all need an escape from reality sometimes, especially at the moment. And what better way to leave the world behind than to immerse ourselves in a realm of magic, adventure and fantasy. The overall atmosphere of magical escapism and the experience of stepping into Fantasy Island and letting everything else slip away is a feeling of absolute bliss. It’s not just one of the best days out in Lincolnshire – but one of the best days out in a fantasy land!
The Fabulous Food
Fantasy Island boats more than 40 eateries and there’s an abundance of different kinds of food and drink to choose from. Whether you fancy pizza, sandwiches, chicken, Chinese food, Jamaican dishes, fish and chips, burgers, ice-creams and desserts, an extra-strong coffee or just a cold pint of beer, we’ve got you covered. The only downside is how difficult it is to decide between the different kinds of deliciousness.
Games and Entertainment
It’s not just the rides and rollercoasters that make Fantasy Island one of the top things to do in Skegness. There’s also a variety of different ways to have fun and be entertained for days on end. There’s the family entertainment centre which is an indoor space bursting with arcade games, including retro classics, and other skill games. There’s Adventure Golf in our stunningly fantastical Lava Creek. And, if you’re looking for something a bit more fast-paced, we even have Go-Karts for those with a need for speed.
Ingoldmells Market
Fantasy island is home to Europe’s largest 7-day market, open March through to November. The market is bustling with over 320 stores, selling fashion, food, gifts and more. So if you’re a fan of browsing the marketplace and finding unique buys, Ingoldmells Market is the place to be.
The Island Beach
Feeling more like chilling out while the rest of your friends or family seek out an adrenaline hit? Not to worry, the island beach is a fabulous spot to sit back on a deckchair and relax. There’s more delicious food served here too, as well as a variety of drinks and sometimes there are even live performances.
The Rides
Of course, the rides are what we’re most well-known for and what makes us one of the best day trips the UK. There are plenty of classic rides such as the log flume and the dodgems. The more adventurous, adrenaline lovers out there will likely flock to the Millennium Ride which glides around the park at high speed with two vertical loops. Whereas the little ones may prefer rides like the Jellikins Ride which is a jelly train roller-coaster that is a hit with the younger audience. Whatever rides you prefer, we have something to suit you.
Staying for a holiday
If having one of the most thrilling days out in Lincolnshire simply isn’t enough for you, why not extend your trip to a full holiday? We have a selection of holiday homes for those looking for a luxurious break, those looking to holiday on a budget and those somewhere in between. So take a look at our holiday packages and offers today and enjoy a much-needed fantastical escape.
