Fantasy Island: top of the list for British days trips and destinations

The UK’s seaside towns are famous when it comes to the great British day trip. Of those coastal locations, Skegness tops the list as a destination that truly delivers on family fun – because it is home to Fantasy Island.

A beloved amusement park

Of all the things to do in Skegness, Fantasy Island delivers an unparalleled range of entertainment, while providing impressive value for money. Located on the Lincolnshire coast, Fantasy Island incorporates one of the most beloved funfairs in England. It features a carefully curated selection of rides designed to ensure that all ages, abilities, and levels of adventurousness are catered for.

From the Jellikins and Seaquarium rides for Little Explorers, to the Log Flume and Rhombus Rocket for Adventurers; from the Dodgems and the Twister to the Techno Jump and Millennium Ride – everyone will find a new favourite at Fantasy Island.

Beyond the rides

Funfair rides are brilliant, but there’s so much more to discover at Fantasy Island. The park is sprinkled with traditional games stalls, while Fantasy Islanders can join in the spectacular Mystical Mountain adventure show, free of charge. Speedsters can get their fix at the Go Kart track, and the dinosaur-themed, multi-platform Lava Creek Adventure Golf course gives families the chance to practice their swing.

The Family Entertainment Arcade provides all-weather fun, and the Ten Pin Bowling arena boasts the status of being the first venue outside the United States to provide Projection-Mapping VIP Lane Technology.

Europe’s largest 7-day market can be found at Fantasy Island, bringing together more than 320 different stores for your retail pleasure, and there are over 40 food outlets dotted around the park, providing menus that suit all tastes and requirements.

Last, but by no means least, there is Island Beach. Here, Fantasy Islanders can enjoy entertainment, bespoke deckchair seating, and refreshments. It is also the venue for cinema nights and breath-taking firework displays – both of which are free of charge.

The first choice for days out in Lincolnshire

Thanks to excellent transport links, Fantasy Island is the first choice for days out in Lincolnshire and, indeed, day trips in the UK. Its proximity to Skegness Railway Station – just 3.9 miles away – means Fantasy Island is easily accessible using the East Midlands Trains service.

Due to COVID-19, we are working on getting the park and site back up and running for when we are allowed to do so. Please keep up to date with our holiday and park information on our website and on our Facebook page.
