A day to never forget at Fantasy Island

Here at Fantasy Island, we are always looking to reach out to those in need of a much-deserved day out. On the 4th of July, the Mellor Group, who took over Fantasy Island in 2016, donated 140 free wristbands to the families of children who are suffering from cancer.

Making a difference

The wristbands were donated to PASIC, an East Midlands charity who does outstanding work to support the families of children affected by cancer. The wristbands enabled full-day access to our exciting rides and attractions, allowing families to enjoy some time to themselves as well as each other’s company.

The day out that 140 resilient individuals got to experience at Fantasy Island played a huge part in helping establish a sense of normality, despite living in such trying circumstances. This special day will have helped to boost the confidence of young people who spend a significant amount of time in hospital and given them the opportunity to make invaluable memories with their loved ones.

Inspirational charity work

We loved being able to give back to a charity who does so much for the East Midlands community. Not only does PASIC provide support to over 600 children and families, they also organise regular events which enhance the quality of life of these resilient young people and their families, as well as helping the support workers on cancer wards. Relatives spend much time caring for these children, so it was important for them to have a chance to forget about their worries for the day and spend quality time with their family.
